Mountaineering club Vucji zub ( Wolf`s tooth ) from Trebinje was registered in 2007 as a result of a growing need of citizens for organized mountaineering and with a purpose to continue with a long local tradition of hiking.The club was named after the peak of Orjen range, the Vucji zub, which stands 1, 805 meters tall.
Throughout the year, the club conducts various activities with special attention being paid to education of members in order to ensure their safest stay in nature. In addition, our members also actively work on conscrution of a mountaineering housing base in the village of Tuli and reatization of smaller project aimed at improving the worg of this association and touristic offer of Trebinje.
Most experienced members of the Vucji zub club are also members of the rescue service of Trebinje Municipality.
The club offeres a wide range of services of organizing mountaineering and caving tours, mountain bike routers, photo safari and tourist accommodation.
Mauntaineering
Mountaineering is a sport whose goal is to climb a peak of a mountain, thus terms closely linked to this kind of activity include challenges, enjoyment in untouched nature and socializing. This sport requires experience in reading maps, using compasses and altitude measuring devices, and other equipment. In addition, mountaineers must be both physically and mentally prepared to stay calm in the gravest of conditions in case of unforeseen events.
This is why the mountaineering club Vucji zub is happy to assist all interested mountaineers who want to visit Trebinje and hike one of the nearby peaks. Professionals of extensive experience are ready to help with information about the town, mountain terrain, access routes, existing trails, etc. We also offer assistance in planning mountaineering activities and finding accommodation ( in the mountaineering house, Tuli base or some other type of accommodation ).
Members of the mountaineering club are also engaged in organizing mountaineering tour for groups. Price is determined upon agreement pending on a group size and date ( winter or summer ).

Trebinje rute
Seven peaks in vicinity of the town: KT1- Gljiva; KT2- Leotar; KT3- Kovlo; KT4- Klicanj; KT5- Strac; KT6- Petrina; KT7- Golo brdo. At five of these peaks, you can also visit very interesting stone-made fortresse built during the Austro-Hungarian rule ( KT- 1, 4, 5, 6, 7 ).
Leotar climb at the altitude of 1, 228 meters. This mountain overlooks the town from its north side.
Motka climb at the altitude of 1, 395 meters, the highest peak of the Bjelasnica mountain range. Starting from the village of Zakovo, hike the peak at the altitude of 1, 100 meters. Total duration of ascent is 3 to 4 hours.
Orjen range
Vucji zub climb at the altitude of 1, 805 meters, one of the most beautiful peaks of the Orjen range after wich this club was named. From starting point of this hike to the peak, one needs to ascend 800 meters of altitude. Total duration of ascent is 4 hours.
Jastrebica climb at the altitude of 1, 865 meters, the highest peak of the Trebinje municipality. From starting point of this hike to the peak, one needs to ascend 850 meters of altitude. Total duration of ascent is 4 hours.
Upon a request, it is also possible to realize hikes other numerous mountain and hill peaks in Trebinje area.
Mountain biking
Mountain biking is a sport in which one rides bike at the so-called off-road pathways through forests, hills, mountains, macadam, parks, meadows and similar terrain.Sport demands a purchase of specialized equipment and bicycles, as well as certain knowledge of technique and experience in off-road rides.
Vucji zub offers the following guided biking tours:
Combined mountain-hill tour “ Trebinje- Grahovo- Crkvice- Orjen sedlo- Vrbanj- Zubci- Trebinje” (110 kilometers of combined terrain- asphalt and country roads, total ascent of approximately 2100 meters)
Trebinje- Leotar mountain (25 kilometres of asphalt and country road, total ascent of 954 meters)
Baking tour around Trebinje “Austro-Hungarian fortifications – Strac, Golo brdo, Petrina“ (20 kilometres of country road, Austro-Hungarian roads, total ascent 700 meters)
Caving
Since its establishment, the mountaineering club Vucji zub has been closely cooperating with the “Zelena brda” (Green Hills) caving society also from Trebinje. Together we make effort to preserve nature and underground waters from pollution, and to provide safe conditions to visit many interesting caves in immediate surroundings.

For all keen photographers and nature lovers, Vucji zub organizes guided trips to Orjen and other mountain terrains in Trebinje area. In addition to this, our experienced mountaineers will happily provide information on locations suitable for photography in wider region of Trebinje.
